A dark angel

While I was waiting for the last ofย our current trio to arrive on Cannith, and the degus were out, I was browsing the store for cosmetic armors for Keronna. I settled upon Crimson Royal Light Armor, after which we joined up with someone from social channel in shroud. Shroud is a different story, though. After shroud I was just showing my guildie my new cosmetic armor and he said that my cosmetic dragon was just flying behind me, that you could only see his wings. I did already say during the Shroud run that Keronna kind of looks like an angel when I cast Tenser’s . So I decided to see what Ker looks like with the dragon flying behind her. I believe I am looking at a dark angel. What do you think?

That’s all folks. Cheers.

P.S. If you missed it, Keronna is currently 12 wizard/ 6 monk/ 2 rogue / 2 epic and runs around mostly using Shroud of the Wraith.

Cannith night – zombies!

Due to one party member’s change of schedule, we moved Cannith night from Friday to Monday. As you who’ve been reading my blog know, me (Keronna), Nessana and Rilosa just TR’d and our static group got two new members. The new members haven’t been that active, and Rilosa was away, so we haven’t been making so much progress. Today me, Ness and Rilosa got together and ranย The Seal of Shan-To-Kor, Irestone Inlet, Freshen the air and the first fourย The Sharn Syndicate chain, before I wanted to log onto Orien to see if Matrix was raiding. I never really run STK, so I felt a bit lost in there. We decided to take lvl 6 after the first chain, and I took my 3rd level of wizard and got zombie form. For the rest of the quests I was using form and lesser death aura. Mostly cause I’ve never played a palemaster before and it just felt funny. At the current level I would say it’s about the same if I use form or not. I do a little bit more damage and take less damage in form, while out of form I hit faster. But in form I’ll have to depend on death aura for heals (although, if I get some harm pots I’ll be grand). It was a lot of fun trying out form for the first time, though. And a zombie monk is pretty awesome. Here are some pictures from the runs.

Destiny reloaded

I run with a static group on the Cannith server on Fridays. Basically it has been just guild (Destiny), sometimes we’ve lfm’d if we’ve felt the quest was too hard for us to short man. My clonk Keronna hit lvl 25 a few weeks ago, and at the same time we decided it was time to TR. If you’ve read my blog, you know what kind of toon I’m building. ๐Ÿ™‚ I mentioned the static group to a couple of people on Orien, and told them they’re welcome to join us, since we were only 3. Destiny’s members are mostly American, or most of them used to be myddo writers. So, the group I run with we call Destiny’s EU group, as there’s seldom any other guildies on when we play. Currently I guess it’s just friends or friends of friends. Destiny is not recruiting, but we’re allowed to invite friends.

So, this Friday we all met up in Korthos, me, Rilosa, Nessana and our two new members; Godscraft and Komrax. We ran through Korthos elites, then moved on to the Harbor. I have not even stepped foot in the harbor since U19, so I had a hard time finding my way around. ๐Ÿ™‚ The runs were smooth and fun, even though at least I was very tired after the work week. We got to level 4, and will continue next week. I didn’t snap too many pics, but here’s two from Misery’s Peak:

Keronna 2.0

My 28p build caster clonk with sorc dilly hit lvl 25 a couple of weeks ago, and she’s now ready to TR (we’re gonna TR next week). Since I picked up Sireth in my first run of CitW on Cannith server, I decided I wanted to try building a palemaster monk, staff focused henshin mystic. 6 monk/ 12 wizard and 2 rogue for rogue staff enhancements. Here’s the build plan I came up with. I do not have arti unlocked on Cannith, so that is not an option, and my original plan was 2 fighter instead of rogue. I do not plan on doing traps, the rogue levels are only for enhancements. For undead shroud, I’ll most likely mostly use vampire, but will start off with zombie, and probably take wraith once I get it for occasional end game use. This build is not meant to be an OP end game build, but something different to have fun with. I have played 2 monk lives on Orien, one dex focused hand wraps melee, other str based. I’ve been thinking of making a quarterstaff monk before, and I’m curious to try out a pm monk. Wizard levels for self healing and buffs only. I will not be doing any cc or offensive casting.

Cannith game night: epics and raids

After only 3-4 h sleep the night before, and working a long day, I was kind of tired and a bit testy during our game night. I took offence to ppl saying that our group is low on hp (well u do better on a 1st toon on a server with no gear or pls, and Ker is even only a 28p build). I thought Ker was doing just fine, I’ve seen worse. At level 20 she was ~380hp unbuffed, and that is with only con+6 and +20 false life. I can easily get that higher once I get some gear. But we only run a few hours once a week, so we’re not exactly gear farming.

Anywho, plan for the night was to run first Eveningstar chain, and we decided to lfm for help so we could run on eH. I think we would have been just fine the 3 of us with hirelings too. Our toons are very much underdogs, but I was pretty pleased when my level 20 clonk with almost no gear managed to insta kills a few mobs with destruction and implosion in a level 22 quest. ๐Ÿ™‚ Now, that impresses me a lot more than loads of hp.

Anywho, here’s the pictures from the night.

Keronna was sad after Ness killed a deer.

Keronna update; getting closer to epic

So, I have a currently level 18 caster clonk with sorcerer dilettante on the Cannith server. I made the toon, after some hesitation, to join Shindurza’s guild Destiny there, to which he’s invited mostly people from myddo. I ran Korthos and some Harbor quests solo, was then joined by Domfig on his fvs and later Nessana the rogue. Some time later Keava and Rilosa joined us, but with some life changes etc, left are now me, Nessana and Rilosa. Clonk, rogue and druid. The three musketeers if have you. ๐Ÿ™‚ Currently we’re only running one night a week, which is Friday.

Well, last week we took level 18, and this week the plan was go to Eveningstar. We ran Lords of Dust last week, so this week we were to do Servants of the Overlord, Spinner of Shadows and Beyond the Rift. Ness put up an lfm and we were joined by a pally and a wizard, who turned out to be guildies (not our guildies). Half way through the first one a barb joined us as well. Servants was very smooth, I think we got through it without any deaths and only skipped one optional. Spinner did also go well, until I ran out of mana, which is when ppl started dying. But I raised them and then focused only on scroll healing the barb, which worked out well.

And we’ve made it! Spinner of shadows defeated.

Keronna’s story –>Jan 19, 2013

Shindurza has been waiting for this part of the series, so here it goes. ๐Ÿ™‚

Keronna now

How it started
I started writing a blog on myddo in March 2012. Yes, March. Not as much as I do now, and I didn’t have any pictures. At the same time I started reading some of the other blogs and commenting as well. I love interacting with ppl online, and I’ve for a long time been active on different forums and social media. Apparently many of my comments were just a “lol” or something similar, becuase when Shin sent me a message May 16th he started with “…girl dropping the LOL’s in our blogs? :)”. ๐Ÿ˜› teehee.Anywho, Shin told me he had made a guild on Cannith strictly for myddo bloggers and commentators, and was asking if I would like to join. I told him that I don’t really think I have the time, since I have a lot of plans for my toons on Orien, but that I’d think about it. Shortly after I learned that Domfig had made an fvs on Cannith, and I started to itch for giving Cannith and the guild a try. So, come the end of May and I made Keronna.

This week in Stormreach

The end of the year is always busy at work, since projects needs to be finished and customers want to pay their bills for the budget, etc. This means we suddenly get a lot of work that has to be finished “yesterday”. I’ve been working over time every day, sleeping little, drinking too much coffee, and trying to make a little bit of time for ddo.

Here’s this week’s run down

Cannith night finally

๐Ÿ™‚ Yesterday was finally Cannith and clonk night. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been waiting. And yay! My blog’s working again, so I can post about it (but my mail’s still broken…).

๐Ÿ™‚ We finished Necro 1 elite, and Keronna got enough xp to level to 8, but I’m not taking the level until we’ve run the Phiarlan Carnival on Friday. ๐Ÿ™‚ Keronna’s not the baby anymore, she’s growing up *sob*. ๐Ÿ™‚ She got Radiant servant 1 at level 7 (with the monk level she didn’t get it at 6), and I’m loving having the bursts. In necro, her melee pretty much sucked (even with monk strikes, without them she was just hitting zeros), but I saw her bursts hit one of the undeads for 127 points. ๐Ÿ™‚ Pretty nice. I believe they have changed the way turns regenerate with the update, now u seem to get 2 at a time, so Keronna with her 6 turns, could use her bursts to take out groups of mobs. Basically I waited for them to surrround me, then threw 2-3 bursts, and watched how they all dropped. ๐Ÿ™‚

The problem was casters with soundburst, though. Ker doesn’t seem to have any save again it, so she would get stunned every time. I also picked up a wand of fire ball, but that was pretty useless until the boss fight. Against the mummy it kicked butt. I saw it hit the mummy for 60 purple points. ๐Ÿ™‚ Otherwise her arcane DC’s pretty crap. Something like 1/10 mobs stick in her web, and I haven’t even tried Otto’s in a while (well, it doesn’t work on undead anyway).

Did I tell you I love my clonk? ๐Ÿ˜€ lol. I think, though, I will do a greater reincarnate with her, when she has unlocked the 32 p build, and put all the extra points in con. Current starting con 12 + 4 points would get her con to 14 (helf with base 6). I could add them to str to improve her melee, but she’s not supposed to be melee anyway. Although, funnily enough, in the current group, Keronna already has the highest hp. But, I want to run raids with her at some point, and you can never have too much hp (already got wis maxed out).

On a side note, my new druid reached level 6 a couple of days ago. I had to reset her enhancements to get Season’s Herald, but that’s ok. ๐Ÿ™‚ One thing I was missing when running Keronna, was my druid’s summons and spells. ๐Ÿ™‚ yeah, so a druid’s not that great of a caster, but on lower levels she’s much stronger than a cleric (at least imo). But maybe she’s just new. I did pick up a bunch of summon monster IV scrolls for Ker (95% chance) before necro, and she kept a summoned lantern that was drawing enemy aggro, which was pretty cool. I wonder, does the scoll chance come from Ker’s cleric levels, or from her sorc dilly? She has sorc dilly 1, which means she’s counted as a lvl 3 sorcerer. The min lvl on summon monster IV is 5, but it’s a lvl 4 (divine and arcane) spell, so Ker would get it at lvl 8. I’m guessing it comes from her cleric levels then?

Alright. Tc and see you on Orien or Cannith.

P.S. I am planning to run my sorc on Orien tonight, and on Friday we will be running the Phiarlan Carnival on Cannith. Depending on how late we run, I might head back to Orien afterwards and run something with Thazara.

P.P.S. I am trying to figure out how to balance my toons’ time. Weekends are Thazara’s time, and to make time for Cerge and Maidae, I have decided that I will run one of them per week, so this week I’m running Cerge, next week I’ll be running Maidae. Jarvanna will get random time when I feel like it ๐Ÿ™‚ Keronna’s usually run on Wednesdays and Fridays.
