First Saturday after vacation

I logged on on Saturday for the first time in 8 days and was immediately a bit overwhelmed. πŸ™‚ I wanted to say hi to everyone and prepare for Thazara’s Saturday elite shroud… and was planning to run something before that, but I never got to it. Oh, how I had missed u guys! Yes, to be honest I like several of my DDO friends better than I like a lot of people in my real life. Sorted Thazara’s inventory, and was then gonna do a few quick runs of Rainbow in the dark for gs twigs, but shortly after I put up the lfm someone sent me a tell that they would give me the twigs. πŸ™‚ Thank you very much! But of course I messed it up. 😦 I was going to make a cloak for Thaz and was sure I had made Green Taper before (I didn’t check, but believed I remembered correctly), that I was missing Filaments of Toil and Wondrous Oil, so I made those two only to notice I now had two filaments and no taper and not enough mats to make the taper. 😦 Well, at least the filaments aren’t bound so I can either give them to Cerge for his gs or sell them.

So, on to Thazara’s Saturday Elite Shroud. πŸ™‚ I have been mentioning it, but I prolly should add a notice to my myddo page as well. I had 2 friends join before I put up the lfm, and had a 3rd one promise to join. I put up the lfm at exactly 0:00 Finnish time or 5pm EST. My lfm was as usually 18-25 “Elite. Have hp, breakers. 2xheals, rest dps. No first timers”. I was surpriced at how slowly we were filling. My lfm rules are always, first come first served, unless I’m specifically looking for a healer or trapper. I got a few casters and a sorcerer at only 300 hp. I wasn’t paying attention, and when I got a tell asking if the sorc doesn’t have too little hp, and then a healer joins only to tell us “you’re gonna fail”, I throw the lead to my friend who’s got a lot more experience leading raids than I do. Yup, I chickened out.

Takes too long imo to fill, but we do and people try to help the sorc out to make him a bit more durable. Party is for sure semi weak, but I have faith, as I always do. πŸ™‚ I switch Thazara’s ED back to Unyielding Sentinel before the raid, and before phase 4 I change from my fav stance Vigor of Battle (+100 hp, heal amp, and on a successful hit stacking +10 hp for 1 min) to Unbreakable (+5 AC, DR 10/epic and diehard feat). The squishy sorc dies from the blades in phase 3 and 4, otherwise things are pretty good all through phase 4. I keep DoT’ing and we take out Harry in 3 rounds.

On to phase 5. Our monk parks the ellie, we kill the others and buff up. We’re ready, or so we think. Harry arrives and we fight and suddenly Harry teleports to me. I’m like wtf, how did I suddenly get aggro? πŸ˜€ lol. Thaz is sturdy as hell in her stance, and when people start dropping likes flies, I can still stay put, block and raise. For some reason we loose our third healer who ends up in the beginning, out of battle. The second healer who’s on a lvl 25 fvs (or, I think he is lvl 25, at least he has a lvl 25 fvs, lol) also drops a couple of times, and at some point Harry is down to maybe 10% and I say, now I’m just gonna continue DoT’ing (instead of raising people). But I get con damage and get helpless… and die. I get a raise from Niv, but Thaz get super squishy with death penalty, so I don’t even have time to heal up before I drop again. Everything’s messy, most of the party’s dead, but someone get’s the killing hit, runs over to the altar and we finish. πŸ™‚ Everyone can raise at the shrine that’s now available, to get loot. πŸ™‚ This has got to be the toughest Shroud I’ve run where we still finished, so kudos to everyone participating. Oh, and I did chug 3 pots compared to last time 0.

Sat Shroud

I almost forget to turn in the quest, and then I wanted to send a tell to the cleric who told me we were gonna fail, but he was offline. Forgot to add him to my friend list, so I could send him a tell later. πŸ™‚ I wanted to do the “ha-ha! we finished!”. I love proving people wrong, lol. I jump on a party doing eVON raid epic hard as their second healer and switch Thazara’s ED back to Exalted Angel before entering. I’m thinking, eHard with only 2 healers, and the other is a clonk with a lot less sp than me? Party is pretty weak (compared to the ones I’ve previously run with) and it’s a bit of a difficult ride to the end fight, but we get there. The other healer forgets to rest, so only me is at good mana, while he’s out, but he tells us he has 15 turns left, so I tell him to just keep spamming them and we’ll be fine. Takes us way too long to take out the boss in VON5 imo, but we get it done and Thaz get’s 50k XP for her ED, even with -30% repetition penalty (5x).

We enter VON6 and I go to the 3rd base as I’m told, even though, someone says at some point that the cleric didn’t go to the base she was suppose to and I’m not sure if it meant me or the other one. I was told 3rd base, and to me that’s the one that’s furthest away, i.e. wind. But anywho, we get to the dragon fight and Thaz gets close to dropping a couple of times. Man! She’s so much squishier in EA than in US. πŸ™‚ But we finish. Yay! Oh, and during VON5 a party member sends me a tell “Nice to finally run with u, I read your blog” (or something like that). πŸ™‚ Hi there, always nice to meet readers, but I do love getting stars and comments as acknowledgement that people have read it, so please, do comment. πŸ™‚ Or, send me a pm.

Saturday eVON

After VON I jump on a party doing Lords of Dust eNorm, looking for a divine to bless the altars. They’re almost done, only missing the altars and boss fight. So, I get some quick XP from that, and then decide to head over to King’s Forest. I put up an lfm “Just running around King’s Forest looking for commendations”. I somewhat quickly get a full party and a wizard who leads us around. We do 3 instances and in the third one we meet the second green dragon, my first time. I get a nice amount of XP, and enough commendations to get Star of Day for Thaz. Thaz got her ED to 1, that is, she is/ has now GMoF0, EA1 and US5. Also less than 300 slays for 1,500 in King’s Forest. I stayed with the group until the wiz had to leave (at around 6.30 Finnish time), then went to get my Star of Day, finally! But to my disappointment it’s required trait good, UMD 26. 😦 Thazara is true natural (I bought a change from Lawful good at lvl 18) and has no UMD. I’m really disappointed that I wasted 15 commendations on an item I cannot use. I added req good and umd 26 to wiki, but then I started thinking that maybe not all of them are that, if the enhancements are random? Maybe it was just bad luck that I got the good one? I’m not planning on farming for commendations in a while anyway, nothing I currently want.

The second green dragon (Urklauth):

I don’t usually like putting pics of slain creatures here, but he did not disappear right away, so I took a pic. He was gone a second later.

Slain dragon

So, yup, my Saturday turned into a 8.5 h gaming session, lol. πŸ™‚ And I didn’t even get any favor, but Thaz did gain a bunch of epic token fragments and is getting closer to 20 tokens. I wasn’t farming for tokens before U14, so this is the most I have ever had. I was going to save up for 2 hearts of wood and one epic crystal for Thaz, but it seems as though I will buy the hearts and just use the tokens for a crystal for Thaz.

Alright, that’s all from me for now. Ty for reading and happy questing.

Tc.

P.S. tl;dr – I’ve got nothing. Just look at the pictures, lol. πŸ˜€

Saturday; bad and good runs

My night didn’t start off that great. I was a bit tired, yes, but that’s not uncommon since I do often let DDO come before sleep. I joined a group for HoX and we went in on hard. Here’s what bothered me about it. 1. the person with the star wasn’t leading and didn’t even have voice. 2. things went south, and at least 3 people recalled (including the second healer – we were only 2). I’m incredibly stubborn and will fight until there’s nothing left to fight for. I was out of mana, but I started running around raising people with scrolls. We got mini beholders, then large beholders, bees and what ever you can think of. The beholders kept uncharming the puppies and people kept dying. Our tank stayed on mommy, while me and the ones still in, were running around killing beholders and renders. Or, I was mostly running around raising people and trying to throw a heal once in a while.

I blame me. I tried, I know. I’m proud of my effort, but if I hadn’t died, I think we would have finished. I stayed in center with the beholders a little while too long, instead of running off, and died. The only one left was our tank. She, though, did a great job. Mommy had been made vulnerable already and our tank was beating on her like crazy. Got mommy down to 1% before she dropped. 😦 Meh. I didn’t want to go again, since I had spent a lot of scrolls and time on the quest, and didn’t feel like doing it again.

I lfm’d for Running with the devils normal “a quick run for gs stone”, and got some people for it. Was a nice and quick run. Then I joined someone doing Weapons shipment elite. First time. We get to the second room/ area without any problems, then I quickly start getting annoyed. Group’s a barb, pally, wizard, fvs and bard. I don’t know what the wizard was doing, but he for some reason was meleing and kept dying. I told him to go shrine at least 3 times before he did. But he still kept dying and I didn’t want to raise him anymore. And then for some reason the fvs decides to pike in the shrine room. I’m running around with aggro from casters, trying to stay alive and raise. The fvs comes back, enters the area and I pick up 2 stones to take them to the shrine. The fvs follows, and it’s a fail. No one left in the same area as the NPC and it’s over. I’m so annoyed with both the wiz and the fvs that I don’t want to rerun.

So finally I do my saturday elite shroud lfm. I get two healers I know from before, and a lot of dps. Seems good. But I get a halfling wizard named Herecomestrouble or something similar, who’s getting on my, and probably the other’s nerves as well starting with phase 2. He was throwing disco and sleet storm around, not listening and not communicating. Two things that I can’t stand (people not listening and not communicating). πŸ™‚ Phase 2’s a bit messy, I belive we have 2 failed attempts before we manage to get the crystal, and I’m not aware that we were done, because I was trying to get people to listen to the basic rules. Then I felt sorta embarrassed that I was yelling out orders after we were done. Let’s blame lag, ok?

One of the other healers dc’d and people open the chests before he returned. Not cool. Also someone clicked on the altar to start the timer on phase 3 before our dc’d fvs had come back. Again, not cool. At least I know that that guy who dc’d has maybe 8 lvl 20 toons and run raids every day, so I don’t think it mattered to him that he didn’t get the chests, but it’s about principles, people! πŸ™‚

Anywho, phase 3’s fine, phase 4’s a bit messy again, with some communication problems. And I die! 2 others die as well, but I’m the third to go down, and in my own raid. 😦 I’m pretty disappointed. Before phase 5 the wizard isn’t responsive, and doesn’t rest to get his mana back. I don’t know what’s up with him, but who cares? Phase 5 goes sort of smoothly, even though we have a few deaths. And I decide that I’m not gonna pot this time. I run out of mana close to the end, since I’m offensive casting (DoT’ing) as well the whole time, but I don’t pot, use a few scrolls, but let the fvs who still had mana do the healing just before the end. So yay! Thaz’s 14th shroud completion.

The fvs who dc’d earlier, he swaps to another of his toons and puts up an lfm for eVON hard (or he did have eVON5 normal, eVON6 hard, but I persuaded him to do eVON5 hard as well, lol), so me and a barb from Shroud join. I don’t know VON5. I haven’t counted how many times I’ve run it, fewer than Shroud anyway, and I don’t know all the objectives or where you’re supposed to go. I just follow the group and hope I don’t get lost. πŸ™‚ Well we did well and I get 81,805 xp for eVON5 (my second run of it) and something like 39k for eVON6. I didn’t get any red devil scale, though.

Then our leader swaps back to his fvs, or maybe it was another of them, and we decide to do hard eADQ1-2. This was my first time running eADQ. I manage to stay alive, even though I get hit by the traps in bat, and we do have a little bit of difficulties in some parts, but ADQ1 in maybe 40 minutes. Rebuff and then ADQ2. Now, fighting Queen Lailat I actually enjoy. πŸ™‚ Thaz can actually stand and block, and just spam her with dp (I swapped to unbreakable stance with gives Thaz the die hard feat and dr10 epic). So, I was doing that. πŸ™‚ A nice run and the xp got Thaz to Unyielding Sentinel 5.

I activated Exalted Angel, and now Thaz only has 440 hp buffed 😦 When in US – Vigor of battle stance she has 640. I’ll likely swap back to US for my weekly elite Shroud, though. I was hoping to make Thaz a hp gs item before swapping to EA, but I didn’t even have enough stuff to make the blank 😦 meh. From where do you even get the stuff for the blank? Vale quests?

Alright, that’s all from me for now. Tc and see you in game.

Peace out.

Give me my Shroud completion! … and epics

After yesterday’s Shroud wipes, I put up a new lfm for “hard or elite depending on party”. I’m about to take the lfm down when a couple of people join, and then a few more. I get a nice amount of hp, and I’m expecting the dps to be good, so we decide to do elite. Everything’s pretty good, until part 4. People die. Too fast. I mess up my buttons, and die. Harry’s not even down to 50% and it’s a wipe. Meh. This run I was the first healer to go down. I’m not used to that. πŸ˜€ haha. Thaz still has over 500 hp, and the other cleric was on less than 400 (3 healers in elite shroud). So I suggest we try again on hard. Both runs I get to do a 5×5 puzzle, second run I had to solve down 3 times, but we got it done before the rainbow was up πŸ™‚ Oh, and this was probably my first shroud were 1. no one died in part 4 and 2. I was offensive casting the whole time in part 4-5 (+ healing of course). No one died in part 5 either, it was a very good run. An yay! Finally Thaz’s weekly Shroud completion. That’s 10 completions (5 normal, 5 hard) and 9 fails (8 wipes – 1 normal, 6 hard, 2 elite). Yeah, I know, she’s a baby Shroud runner. But she does so much else too πŸ™‚

Thaz made a new friend, and got an invite to join another guild. πŸ™‚ She’s not really ready to move at this point, but who knows. He was on his lvl 25 fvs and I gave him the star for running something else. New lfm and 2 runs of VON3 hard. Total about 113 k xp, 1 rank + level in the epic destiny and lvl 22 (which I will not be taking for a while). Thazara’s now got 569 hp in Vigor of Battle stance. Unbuffed.

I didn’t get very good shots of the Jungle of Kyber runs, but here’s the ones I took:

VON3 VON3

These are from the second run. Thazara was very much the underdog, with at least 4 lvl 25’s πŸ™‚ (I don’t know what lvl Theseas was). But in the Marut fight she was able to just stay put and block while DoT’ing him. He hit her for maybe 50 hp? With every punch, so not much at all, I just once in a while threw a burst. πŸ™‚ I took the second picture just before the Marut went down. Oh btw, Thazara’s a pretty good caster sometimes. πŸ™‚ I threw Energy drain + Destruction at the beholders and saw a few of them go down with one shot.

Alright, that’s all for now. Tc and see you in game.

ED and epics

I logged with Thazara and joined a party for EE Snitch. I’ll tell you it didn’t go well. πŸ™‚ First try we almost wiped at the first valve, because party rushed in and got attacked by rats. Second try we had a bit better tactics and got as far as Crateos before we wiped. Someone who was with us in the first try sent me a tell “I got some ppl who want do do EE snitch, do u want to join after this party wipes?” I stuck with the party and later joined him in Genesis Point Elite. I am wondering, though, why did he send me the tell? Because I’m a girl? Or because he thought I was better than the party we were in? Genesis Point went really smoothly, with two awesome wizards, a barb and a rogue. I’m forgetting the last toon. After, the rogue, barb, one of the wizards and me headed over to Sschindlyryn to do slayer and look for scrolls. Thazara got a bunch of xp and 3 ranks in her ED. πŸ™‚

I am apparently building Thazara mainly for healing and survivability, even though her melee still kicks butt. In Genesis Point I saw her hit between 27 and 100 on every hit. πŸ™‚ Pretty nice. Here’s Thazara’s current ED tree:

Thazara ED

The 3 points I had to spend I used to get Healing hands (positive spell power +25), and Block energy. I tested her heals afterwards and her mass heal is now with current gear (no devotion, but power and greater arcane lore) standard 754 points. Her heal is 470 and 484 with improved ardor. Heal crits for 942. I got the radiant servant belt from Genesis Point, and will be using the greater ardor to boost my heals further. πŸ™‚ I love how much more durable Thazara is becoming, and I love the Unyielding Sentinel. More hp and more protection. Since elemental damage has been and is a problem, and I do use block a lot, Block energy is perfect. I will likely take more of it.

Alright. Tc and see you in game.

Oh, Man! Worst shroud ever

πŸ™‚ Well the shroud bit was only a small fragment of my gaming time tonight. I had decided to finally make my gs goggles, and while making them I realized I was missing a few ingredients. No prob, let’s see if they have them at AH. I bought about 4, but Glistening pebbles was priced and 150k. No, that’s too much, even if I have it. So, off I went to Rainbow in the dark, solo with hire and summon, normal. Soloing is just dull, and it takes way too long πŸ™‚ I mean, in a party there’s always something going on, and if u have to wait for something u can always chit-chat. Rainbow went fine, even though I ran out of mana half way to the first shrine and had to melee in the dark. Aura and fire elemental did help some. And in the end chest I got my pebbles and was able to make my gs blank. Then over to the guild ship to see if I can make my gs tier 1- Jup, I could, even though I had to buy one more ingredient from AH (was maybe 8k, so no big). Turns out we have an Altar of Invasion and an Altar of Devastation on the guild ship atm, but no Altar of Subjugation, so I would have to wait for the next Shroud to use it.

I then decided I finally wanted to make my way to Eveningstar, the easy way, running Beyond the rift lvl 16 normal πŸ™‚ Was a bit lost in the second part when I get a tell from someone I’ve run epics with, asking if I want to run Shroud. Sure, I was just trying to get to Eveningstar. πŸ™‚ He said he’d help me out after shroud. πŸ™‚ Ok, that’s cool.

When I join the party I see 2 fvs, several rogues and wizards, one sorc, one arti and one paladin. And guess what? Except for the paladin at 600 hp, I had the highest hp in the group (I just got 10 hp more from speaking to the Argonessen patron, so Thaz is with minos unbuffed over 500hp, buffed without minos over 500 as well). Several in the group weren’t even over 300. “This won’t go well”, I though to myself, but let’s give it a go. Well, the run was the worst one I’ve ever run. It was a mess. Part one went ok, just took us imo way too long to take out the portals (this is a sign that we probably won’t be able to take down Harry). Part 2 was a bit messy, since someone killed one of the reds too fast and the sorc who was on the crystal got helpless and couldn’t do anything. But on the second go we managed to get through.

In part 3 I must have pressed a button just by entering, because my puzzle solved itself (3×3). I also solved a circular one and a 5×5 (my first, yay!). Then someone was having problems in a 3×3 one, someone panicked and watered the fountain, stopping us from getting the two extra chests. I was pretty annoyed over that. Like come on, who cares that it’s taking a bit longer to solve some puzzles? No one had even died (actually someone did die before that, but that was from the blades).

The shroud

In part 4 is where everything just fell apart. When I heal shroud, I focus on one of the melees fighting Harry. But, the party didn’t wait for the blades to go away before killing the last devil, so when Harry arrived we had blades and other mobs around the room and people were all over the room fighting different mobs. There was maybe 2 people on Harry only. In round one 2 people died. In round 2 several more died. In round 3 we were maybe 4 people left alive, me and one fvs (who didn’t seem to know to heal himself), the pally and someone else. The pally was solo fighting Harry and I was out of mana since long ago. So as a last try I jumped in and started hitting on Harry myself, to try and heal with aura and bursts. Safe to say I didn’t last long. Got spammed with maybe 4 fire blasts and dropped. The pally lasted a few seconds more and then it was a wipe.

I have been in Shroud wipes before, my short Shroud history is 7 completions (5 normal, 2 hard) and 3 fails (all on hard), one of them a guild run, the rest pugs, but this was definitely my worst run so far. I was even in one where people were rushing and not waiting for buffs, still managed to complete. Shroud isn’t a hard raid, if people know what they’re doing and the leader is able to tell people what to do. But let inexperienced people run amok in the raid and this is what u get. What did I learn from this? Maybe to trust my gut? If my gut’s telling me it isn’t going to work (because we only seem to have one tank in the group), I should just politely decline the run.

πŸ™‚ Me and the rogue, who asked me to join the group in the first place, then headed of to Beyond the rift, epic normal. We got through it without too much problems, and I then asked to be guided round King’s forest πŸ™‚ Interesting place King’s forest. I didn’t get to see a dragon though. We did a few challenges and I got a few commendations. But the ghost stories challenge got the best of us. I did a successful concentration roll with my unbuffed 31 concentration (actually, come to think of it, I was not holding my +15 concentration dagger), but the red named necromancer was a bit tough. Well the problem was that I was the only one who could raise (the rogue had one scroll), so we wiped after I died a second time.

King's Forest

πŸ™‚ But I had a nice time anyway, and forgot about time again. Now I need to sleep…

Love,
Micki

Thazara and epics

Note: this post isn’t meant to be a bragging post, more about how proud I am of my girl and what she has accomplished.

When Thazara was lvl 16-18 or something like that, I went on the forums and asked, will she be strong enough to do epics (First life cleric need advice)? Thazara has now been lvl 20 for a while and I’m proud to announce, she does pretty good in epics πŸ™‚ With her archmagi hat and buffs she’s at 1803 sp, and just under 400 hp, when I put on minos, she’s at maybe 430 hp. With gh and other buffs I’ve seen her up to 475 hp. I just did two more epics last night and here’s a list of Thazara’s epic completions:

She also did a run of Lords of Dust, but we recalled out after the first (or was it second) chest.

Thazara, when running epics, she melees trash and offensive casts bosses, while keeping the party healed with aura, bursts and cures/heals. She also saves mana and when the arcane casters need to rest, she’s quite often at 50%. She seldom needs to pot and heals with scrolls if she does run out of mana.

πŸ™‚ Oh, and I get so proud I could purr when someone gives me positive feedback after a run. I got good heals in Servants of the overlord and Devil Assault, and after last nights runs (Snitch and Big Top) the leader sent me a tell afterwards “Thank you for your help. We couldn’t have done it without you”. πŸ™‚ Of course I wonder, did he think I did better than average, or did he just like that fact that I’m a girl?

Anywho, that’s enough bragging from me.

Tc and see you around Orien or Cannith.

Gaming this weekend

πŸ™‚ In my last post I mentioned that I decided to take a break from exercise and play some DDO instead. I have a quite tight training program imo (around 10 h/ week), and my hip has been aching, so I felt like I could use a break. And the fact that I haven’t been sleeping just added to me not feeling like doing the Saturday 3km swim. Instead I slept late, did household chores like laundry and cleaning, took care of the degus (like every day, don’t need to mention that) and sat down for some gaming πŸ™‚

I logged with Maidae and Cerge to check the mail, then with Thaz to check lfg, nothing good on, so back to Cerge. I wanted to finish necro 2, so lfg’d for the last two ones and then got a party for shadow crypt πŸ™‚ For some strange reason I’m always lagging badly in that one. The game just freezes every few seconds, lasting a second or two. So, that is one dungeon I’m not farming, no matter how good the xp is πŸ™‚ I believe I might have logged with Thaz after that, still nothing on the lfg that I wanted to run, so back to Cerge. πŸ™‚ A group was doing Xorian Cipher, so I joined. Leader was good, party was good, but I believe things went a bit south when the cleric DC’d and the monk who said he could do the int rune in the puzzle room couldn’t. I managed to die there also. Don’t exactly know what happened. πŸ™‚ Whole quest was a big mess, but the leader was really good and got us through. Oh, and I met Mubjon from the forums there πŸ™‚ Nice. He was one of the ppl giving med advice on how to rebuild Thaz, before I did the greater reincarnation at lvl 12.

After this I should have gone to bed, but noticed someone lfg’ing for In the demon’s den, hard. I wanted to give it a try. Here’s the mistake I did. I 1. didn’t check the leader’s hp and 2. didn’t read into his personality at all. But I was tired. The quest was an utter fail. πŸ™‚ Dude was running a lvl 18 wizard with 140 hp, and meleing! He also didn’t wait for the whole party to enter, or for me to buff before running off. Of course he died, and died again. Before we even got the the first demon queens, the other wizard stopped responding. As usual, I picked the strongest melee, and focused my heals on him, while blocking. The rest of the party just recalled, so I told the melee/ monk, that I’m getting out, because, no way the two of us could take on 3 demon queens, when the party could barely damage one. πŸ™‚ Today I get a tell from the same wizard asking me if I want to try again. I tried to reply in an as kind matter as possible, that even though I consider myself to be a good healer, I don’t think I can keep him alive in there.

πŸ™‚ Sunday I get up at 9 after about 5 h of sleep (woke up not able to sleep any longer), and decided that it was time to try to get Thaz the Electric Haze belt. πŸ™‚ I put up an lfg that I’m farming Mentau for the belt, join if you like. And guess who one of the ppl joining me was? Raspberryx! XD Hey Rasp! Nice running with you πŸ™‚ We did maybe 5 runs, but no belt 😦 After the 5th run I was feeling pretty fed up with it, and most of the party had to leave, so I checked the lfg, and saw Process lfg’ing for Servants of the Overlord epic, again πŸ™‚ Hey process! πŸ™‚ I don’t know, but I like running with him. Toon’s tough and runs are usually good. Party ended up doing Epic Spinner of Shadows instead, and that was a new experience for me πŸ™‚ Exciting and scary and a few deaths (including me), but I think we did a really good job. Party split after the run, so I joined another party doing red fens epics. πŸ™‚ Also a very nice party, even though I got lost in the second quest (Fantom) and had to be rescued (found my way, but 5 rats were too much for Thaz to handle solo). πŸ™‚ I really like running with these groups who could prob do without a healer. I just make things a bit esaier for them πŸ™‚

πŸ™‚ And then a friend of mine lfg’d for ADQ (we were talking about it on sat, that I wanted to run it, but I didn’t want to do my own lfg, so he said he would on Sunday). I joined that one and after the run I had him show me to Reaver’s refuge, since I had never been there. I got Thadargix’s Gem from Sands earlier in the day and now had 3 gems that I wanted to turn in to Thear in Reaver’s Refuge. Reaver Refuge is a confusing place and neither of us could find the travel agent to get out of there πŸ˜€ so I used the word of recall cleric spell instead for me πŸ™‚ and then logged with Cerge. I couldn’t decide what to run with him, he was missing about 7 k for lvl 11, and no good groups on lfg. So did a quick run of caged trolls and then quit for the weekend. Tonight I need to go to bed early πŸ™‚

Now, I’m thinking I might need to move Thaz to another guild. I really like the guild I am in, but I am at a point where I want to do regular raids with her, and most ppl in Legends of Orien are american. Nothing wrong with that, except the time difference. I’d be really nice I was in a guild that was doing regular runs, in the evenings Finnish time, so I could run as often as I would like πŸ™‚ Atm I’m only running pug raids. and mostly weekends when I can stay up all night πŸ™‚

Ty for reading. Happy questing and raiding. See you around Orien or Cannith.

A good day :)

Man! I had a good day of gaming today. πŸ™‚ Ran a successful Shroud on normal (3 healers, 2 fvs and me. My first complete), then Sentinels Tower (The Tide Turns) and Devil Assault on epic (I had only run it on hard, never elite, lol), and then Blown to Bits on Elite.

And hey, I must say I’m feeling pretty good. My first two epic completes. Me the only healer, a total of one death in Devil Assault. Man, I was proud and the group was really good and gave me a “good heals”. πŸ™‚ And I must say, running epics is a lot of fun πŸ™‚ And the weird thing is, that Thaz was even able to do some meleing in there. Melee to keep other melees healed and save sp (and the buckler keeps stunning attackers). I’ve been thinking that Thaz isn’t epic ready because of her low hp and sp, but 1. she’s got good enough hp to manage atm, and 2. as long as I’m saving mana, her sp is also ok. πŸ™‚ And it’s all about the group. A good group, less mana used on heals and I can play more offensively πŸ™‚ Poor group and I run out of mana early and have to scroll heal (which easily leads to deaths).

In Blown to Bits we had a few deaths, the arti and bard kept dying πŸ™‚ I think they were the only ones to die, but I don’t remember. Party was all melee, with me the only caster. Main part of the quest went fine, but we really didn’t have a chance taking down The Iron Firebomber. After a long try, he was down to maybe 3/4 of hp, and we were all out πŸ™‚ I also didn’t bother healing much during the fight, because people weren’t taking much damage (since they were mostly running through blade barriers), except when they got hit by the bombs (the bard did it prob 10 times), which was 1000+ of damage and insta death. At least there was a shrine in the room πŸ˜€ lol.

I got a new nice item from Blown to bits, though. This one:

Alchemist's Pendant

20 stacking hp, to add to minos 20. πŸ™‚ very nice. Now I still have the small problem of my death block item being the Silver Flame Talisman. I need death block on something else so I can use my nice new necklace in quests with beholders as well. Oh, and strange thing (to me anyway). Thaz’s got no dex item atm. Buffed her reflex save is at about 14 (or maybe a little more, I don’t remember now). And she was getting reflex saves in Blown to bits.

Take care and see you around Orien.

P.S. In Blown to Bits I met a really nice barb who gave me 25k plat for my efforts πŸ™‚ But hey, he said he has an fvs as an alt. This to anyone who read my previous rant about barbs πŸ™‚

P.P.S Thazara just exceeded 3200 favor πŸ™‚
