It’s been almost 2 years since Cerge’s last TR, and he hasn’t done any ER since then either. I decided it was time to give Maidae a chance to play at cap, and continue with Cerge’s TR plan. Cerge TR’d 2 days ago and here are his before and after pictures.
I’ve been meaning to TR Maidae for a while and and this morning I finally got around to doing it. I then spent both my lunch break and some time in the evening sorting her enhancements, gear and inventory. Here are her before and after pictures:
When we do the raids, we’re very dependent on a good tank, so I wanted to make one. When Darth quit the game a few years ago he let me use his characters, and a few of them have a lot of past lives. We looked through the chars and I felt this one was the best fitted to turn into a tank. I may still need to do some ED xp before he can actually tank, but here is the build plan. This is an attempt to merge Storms’ fighter tank with Jedli’s cleric build into a cleric tank. Since this is my first attempt, and I don’t even have gear for this char yet, I don’t know what the end result will be. Have a look:

At some point I decided that I wanted to get some heroic past lives of Firetha, and stop playing her like I’ve been playing all the others – TR, ER, some time at cap etc. The issue is that I don’t really enjoy running heroics if I have the option to run epics or raid, so Firetha (and her party of bots) has been left in heroics for almost 3 years. I finally capped her last weekend after completing her third wizard life and I’ve now decided to do 3 favored soul lives. I’ve only played a favored soul once before and that time I made an iconic caster – starting at 15. This means I’ve never actually played an fvs in lower level heroics. I asked Osi and he recommended using a deity weapon because they get bonuses from warpriest tree. While he did quarterstaff, I looked at my weapon options and decided to go for daggers. I’ve played around with the lite planner – since the planner I usually use hasn’t been updated for tiefling, and I’ve come up with a plan – that I don’t know if will be good, but I can always change it later if it turns out it’s terrible. I picked tiefling mostly cause I think they look cool and they get +2 to cha.
Here it is:
Favored Soul 20
True Neutral Tiefling
36pt Tome Level Up
---- ---- --------
Strength 14 +5 4: CHA
Dexterity 12 +5 8: CHA
Constitution 16 +5 12: CHA
Intelligence 12 +5 16: CHA
Wisdom 10 +5 20: CHA
Charisma 18 +5

Then it was time to start flagging for heroic Shroud. We started with a R1 Running with the Devils and after a successful and quite easy run of that one, we headed to The Coalescence Chamber. Ruff, who was running it for the first time suggested we run it R3, which is a difficulty that has been giving us a challenge, but is still doable. I told him he’d regret it, but said sure and we entered on R3.
Coal chamber is long and at level 18 it used to take me about 45 minutes to guide a pug through it elite. This run I had died so much my gear started to break before we even reached the first key. I normally park Jarvanna at the quest entrance and bring her into play only when everyone else has died – this happened a lot more this run and I had to keep her close by for most of the quest, as well as using her to clear mobs in some areas, since Judet ran out of sp. Eventually we finished, and I think we all agreed that R3 was more of a challenge than it was worth.
This TR Maidae is running everything or reaper difficulty with Mis, and when we got to level 18 I wanted to flag for both Cannith raids and ToD. I usually also post on the lfm. Here are some pictures from the quests. Last night we also ran the Tide Turns in the Denith chain.
After a tough run through To Curse the Sky and Creeping Death on reaper 1, the static group moved on to running Lords of Dust on reaper 3. In our our first attempt we all got knocked down by the cats at the first altar and ended up wiping, so we released and restarted. The second try went better and we managed to get through the quests without the whole party dying. I didn’t take many screenshots, but here are a couple.
Ruffshot, Schoan, Valdayanie and Jarvanna took level 16 before starting the LoD chain, while Judet who didn’t yet have enough xp for it was still 15.
That’s all I have for you for this time.
Thank you for stopping by.
