4000 favor! Woohoo!

πŸ™‚ Thazara just exceeded 4000 favor today, and here’s proof (click for full size):

Thazara 4000 favor

Thazara has so far run all quests and raids lvl 1-18 elite, except Abbot normal, HoX and VoD hard. She has not run the Eveningstar lvl 19 quests, but she has run all Amrath and Cannith quests elite. She also did MA normal. Dreaming Dark only casual so far. In the forgotten realms she has run the first Eveningstar chain on epic elite and one Sschindylryn quest on epic normal. She has only collected about 6 stars/ favor so far from challenges.

Most of the quests have been run on lvl, to make it easier to find willing groups. Thazara has yet to run LoB and ToD. She flagged for ToD only a couple of weeks ago.

Next on the plan is to try to 4-5 star Cannith challenges to reach 150 Cannith favor, and run the lvl 19 Eveningstar quests elite. Thazara just leveled to 22 and is Unyielding Sentinel 5 and Exalted Angel 2.

Ty for reading and happy questing.

P.S. Yes, I’m kinda nuts, but I’m a proud nut. lol!

Got caught up playing… again

I was waiting all week for Saturday and time to play my main, Thazara. The plan was to maybe run The shipwrecked spy and Dream conspiracy first, then do some challenges for favor (going to try and unlock arti) before the weekly shroud at 5pm EST. (I think I’m going to divide this post into chapters, lol!)

I found a nice group for the two IQ quests, and we ran them on elite without too much problems, a few deaths, but nothing special. These were the last quests I wanted to do before taking lvl 22, so went ahead and leveled after that. Thazara has now run all quests elite lvl 1-18, except Abbot normal, VoD and HoX hard.

Elite shroud take one
A friend logged on and we ran a few house c challenges and then I lfm’d for my weekly elite shroud. Not a single regular was on. Last week we filled in probably less than 5 min, this week it took longer and I also had competition on the lfm, others were lfm’ing for elite. I got one person I knew from before, an fvs, and a second cleric. 2 rangers, 2 monks, 1 fighter, 2 wizards and maybe 2 paladins. We were doing ok up to phase 4, where it took 4 rounds and several ppl died. Then we lost the other cleric. He died in round 2 or 3 of phase 4, when I tried to res him after phase 4 was finished, nothing happened and soon after he lost connection. So, we went into phase 5 one healer short (we did wait for him to come back long enough imo). Phase 5 got messy pretty fast. I don’t know if it was because someone died, but instead of the melees surrounding Harry, like it’s usually done, someone started kiting him, which meant I kept missing people with my mass cures/ heals. People died, I died, I had to be rez’d twice, because first time I got Harry aggro as soon as I got up and I had even run out of sight into a corner.

Second raise I got up, healed up and started just blocking and raising ppl. Kept at it, while trying to heal a bit (I stopped rez’ing the fvs after a while, because she was out of mana and wasn’t even healing herself), then I ran out of bursts, wasn’t fast enough and died. Last one standing was one of the rangers, who ran into a corner and stood there shooting at Harry. He was doing ok at surviving, but wasn’t doing very much damage, so someone wanted him to try and rez him, which then led to the ranger dying and us wiping.

Elite shroud take 2
I decided I wanted the completion, so I lfm’d again and some ppl stayed on, including the fvs. I have already forgotten the set up of this group, but we had 2 monks, a second cleric, fighter, barbs, sorc, wizard and arti. Again, phase 1-3 went fine, and we had some problems in phase 4. Still not enough dps. Phase 5 went a bit better this time around, but people did die and it was pretty messy. At some point I stopped rezing and focused just on dp’ing Harry instead. Down goes harry, I touch the altar and the dead can use the res shrine. Me, who don’t like potting, must have gone through around 20 mana pots in these 2 runs. My normal is 1 pot in phase 5. I have been lfm’ing for lvl 18-25, but this is getting too expensive, so next time I’ll only take 20-25.

After shroud I was just going to organize some stuff and then go to bed, but I noticed someone lfm’ing for Eveningstar chain 1 on epic elite, and sent a tell that I’d be interested. I was allowed to join and off we go. Impossible demands was pretty much as messy this time as it was last time I ran it (on hard), although the leader was doing a little bit better job at leading. My only problem was that during runs/ quest the kept telling me how to heal. First I he told me to stay back when I was trying to spam bursts, then I was healing too slow because he died (well duh, u ran ahead and I was with the rest of the group). Then in one quest he was like “never let my hp go below 70%” (in the boss fight). Well, mr barb (and this is kinda one of my pet peeves), I do my best, but when I have 5 people running around me, none of them self healing (I mean we had 2 rangers and a sorc that weren’t healing themselves + a monk), and my masses aren’t catching more than 1-2 ppl, people are going to die. If it was just you, if I only had to worry about keeping u healed, and I myself would be safe, then it wouldn’t be a problem. But I do get pretty annoyed when people tell me how to heal, like it’s my fault that I can’t heal people that are running around lie headless chicken. (I did though, tell him when he told me how to heal him in the boss fight that I will, but I will not heal anyone ranged and I will not rez anyone, because I can’t swap target that fast – if I have to be on barb watch)

Second thing, and I’m sure a lot of u will disagree with me on this. For Battle of Eveningstar we were joined by a wizard instead of the sorc who left. He told me not to throw bb and just to healbot, because in his opinion that was what the party needed. He also thought my hp was really low at 480, so I should avoid aggro. Well, mr wizard. You do not know me. At lvl 13 running a lvl 12 quest elite and throwing bb would get me killed (I’m saying this because it happened). At lvl 22 running epics, I throw bb and comet fall – and stand in the middle of battle (sometimes meleing) to be able to spam bursts. I have put skills in balance and jump and I often jump back and forth pulling mobs through bb. Ok, so this was elite, and I was possibly in over my head, but I’d still rather help take mobs out, than waste all my mana on mana sponge barbs (they take less damage when I’m helping out).

Third thing. Before U14, running epics with a weak or semi-weak party could still be successfully done with good tactics. Since the change of the epics system, it seems like people are running them all willy-nilly. And, elite is a lot harder than hard, and people think u can just stand there kicking butt like u do every day. I much more prefer runs with a good plan and good cc. I do not like runs where people are all over the place fighting different foes and I can’t target anyone. Why is this? Well cause there are still the “blame the cleric barbs” who blame me when I don’t heal for one or another reason. It’s not the party’s fault, no, it’s the cleric who did a crappy job. Don’t u agree?

Alright, so this turned into a bit of a rant, lol! πŸ˜€

In other news, Thazara just exceeded 4000 favor with the epic elite runs. She hit the number 4000 even after Impossible demands, and was rewarded 125 TP. Here’s a picture for proof (click for full size).

Thazara 4000 favor

That’s all folks. πŸ™‚ See you next time.

P.S. I guess I have to start advertising better for my elite shroud? lol!

P.P.S. 2 more runs to go before the cleansing stone. If I do 1 extra run on Tuesday or Wednesday, I’ll get the stone on Saturday: πŸ™‚

P.P.P.S tl;dr I’m gonna post the favor thing in a different post as well πŸ™‚

In the Demon’s Den

This quest, is a pain in the a, especially on elite. You want self healing people with a good amount of hp and nice dps. Today I spent about 4h in there to get the elite completion.

First run we didn’t exactly know what we’re doing so we kill the first efreeti we see, and learn that that causes respawns. I tell people to not kill, but pull them to center, as someone suggested, so we can kill them at the same time. Well we get loads of mobs and people die and I die. Some people release and we keep at it for a while, but some people end up leaving and I decide to take a break.

I get back and check wiki for tactics. Ok, so we need someone to tank/ kite the lizard queen, the rest clean out tunnels and then we pull the efreeti to center and kill them at the same time. We run into a load of trouble again, people die and then it’s just me and a guildie left. I lfm for “help us finish, pls”. We get two clerics and two paladins, but things are a mess and we wipe. And then one of the paladins have to leave.

Restart 3. I have 2 clerics, 1 paladin, my guildie on his wizard/arti and a friend on his barb. I suggest I tank/ kite the queen after switching my ED to Unyielding sentinel. Group cleans out tunnels, starts prepping the efreeti, gets respawns and people die. Then I get the center room full of mobs + the queen and die. Everyone releases, someone stays to keep instance. No efreeti died this time, so one’s at 3%, one’s at 75%, one’s almost at 100%. Wizard suggests he kites queen, since he was having troubles with efreeti disintegrate. We help prep the efreeti, I see too many people on one, so I take off to find my own. All prepped, let’s kill. One dies, mine die.. then I see two people die and I’m like no, no, no. Kill, kill, kill. Yay!

But where’s the queen? Wizard brings her and someone starts to run her through bb. I say over voice, guys, use dp, and maybe stop running around? I apparently got aggro, but she’s not that fast, so when I run to the shrine I just manage to shrine before she hits me. I block and hit dp as often as I can, move out of her solid fog and continue blocking, casting dp and comet fall at her (others are casting/meleing/shooting too of course). And down she goes!!! I was so happy I could have kissed someone πŸ˜€

For the quest we got a lousy 10k xp (or I did), but a total of 7 chests – 5 in the boss room and 2 in the tunnels.

That’s all folks. Tc and see you in game.

P.S. Thazara has now run all quests and raids lvl 1-17 and most lvl 18 (missing 2 quests, and raids only run on hard) on elite and has collected a total of 3953 favor. I’ll take a picture when she hits 4000. πŸ™‚

P.P.S. I plan to run the last two lvl 18 quests on elite before taking lvl 22.

Shrouding it, again

I’ve become a crazy shrouder apparently. πŸ™‚ 4 runs in a week, and all completions. Ran Maidae’s first on Monday, a normal one party lvl 17-20 (my lfm). Tuesday Thazara elite lvl 20-25 (also my lfm). Wednesday Cerge hard lvl 17-25 (someone else’s lfm). Tonight (Thursday) Maidae hard lvl 18-20 (my lfm). Yup, tonight, after running Cerge to eveningstar elite, I decided I wanted to do an on lvl hard shroud. Well, not exactly on level, since you have to be max 19 for bravery, but still close enough. I’m pretty sure I waited an hour for the party to fill. We had an almost full party, but couldn’t get a second healer, and then the first healer left and a few others, and I was down to half a party. But then my luck turned, a healer joined and brought some friends and suddenly we had a full party. πŸ™‚ Party was: 2 healers (fvs), 1 rogue, 1 arti, 2 monks (including Maidae), 2 sorcerers, 2 fighters and 1 barbarian.

Now, I didn’t have high expectations. I even told the party we would get butchered. But behold, we’re doing really well all through phase 1,2 and 3. One of the sorcerers die in phase 2 on the way to the crystal, and me and someone else die from the blades in phase 3. I had just helped someone solve a 5×5 (for some reason lately the only puzzle I seem to be getting is 3×3), was on my way to get water, I realize I’m getting hit a lot and before I can pull out a heal scroll I end up a soul stone.

Anyway, phase 4 is supposed to be the test. Can we do it? But lo and behold, we kick butt! We take out Harry in round 3, with only 2 deaths; the other monk (who turned out to be much squishier than Maidae), and the fleshy sorc who was scroll healing (at least I think he was the one to die). Then enter phase 5. First I can’t seem to kill the lieutenant. His hp bar is empty, but I keep beating on him for a long time and he refuses to drop. Then one of the others gets stuck in the wall. Well someone manages to kill him anyway. We take out the ellie and start beating on Harry. I’m thinking “this is taking too long”, and I start getting worried when I notice one of the healers being out of mana. I’m hoping she has pots. The healers do a really good job, but I can’t tell if I’m taking a lot or a little damage. At least the first one to drop is the other monk and a short while later one of the sorc. The healers run out of mana and people start dropping. And then I drop. Maidae lasted pretty long, and I notice that there aren’t many people left standing. Both healers drop, and lucky for us at least the rogue can raise.

Some people get resed, and I wait a long while, but then I get a raise. I pull out a scroll and heal up. I’m thinking of doing backup healer, but Harry’s down to only a few percentage, so I want to help take him out. But I drop really quickly again. Then both healers drop, and the only one left standing’s the rogue. He starts kiting Harry, and once in a while stops to shoot with his crossbow. Harry’s down to maybe 2 percentage. We’re all holding our breath, is he gonna be able to finish Harry off? We’re waiting, watching, watching the rogues hp drop and him heal up. And down goes Harry!!! πŸ˜€ I wanted to applaud. That was wonderful. πŸ™‚

The whole run was a bit too exciting for me to remember to take any pictures of, but I did take pics of the quest report. It says Maidae died 4 times, but I only remember dying 3. Once in phase 3 and twice in phase 5. Maidae received just over 17 k xp from the run. πŸ™‚

Maidae Shroud quest report

Maidae Shroud quest report 2

It was a fun and exciting run, and everyone completed. πŸ™‚

tc and happy shrouding.

P.S. Next time if I get a raise after most the party has dropped, I’m gonna do backup healer, not jump into battle. Not that Maidae is good at healing at all, but she carries scrolls of raise dead and heal, so she could help rescue a situation like that.

First shroud, 2 tomes!

Cerge ran his first (hard) Shroud tonight, in his new docent, Quorforged Docent of Battle.

Cerge Docent

And on his end reward list he had not one tome, but two!
(Click for full size)

Cerge Shroud rewards

I haven’t quite wanted to run shrouds were the majority of the party is 25, but decided to join one this time. Figured they would be less dependent on Cerge’s skills. This group wanted to run fast, and I wish they would have said it in the lfm. Lucky for me, Cerge’s got the buffs he needs, so he isn’t dependent on anyone, but I can imagine some others having a bit of a hard time with it. No saving a devil in phase 4, no parking the ellie in phase 5, minimal buffing and no waiting. Cerge did very well, though, he only took damage from the blades in phase 3, other than that he didn’t have any problems (except doing damage to the portals in phase 1 that seem to be immune to both ice and acid). Cerge got 3 large mats and a shard of power from it, and a +3 str tome!

I ran Maidae’s first shroud on Monday, but a normal one that I lead. Pace and run was very different. Maidae needs better wraps for fighting Harry, though, my crafted +3 holy handwraps of lesser vampirism + arti silver weren’t doing enough damage, imo.

I also led an elite shroud on Thazara on Tuesday, after an elite Titan raid. Thazara’s now got 17 shroud completions, 5 normal, 7 hard and 4 elite. 3 more for the cleansing stone. She also just got flagged for ToD and got her Boots of Anchoring, so soon she’ll start running that as well. πŸ™‚ Thazara’s now flagged for all the raids, except the MotU one.

Alright, that’s all folks.
Happy questing and take care.

Plans for Thazara

My main Thazara, I made in the start of August 2011. At first I was just trying out the game, but later I decided to start collecting favor with this toon, on level. She was annoyingly gimp at lower levels, since she was customized and I didn’t know what I was doing. Got some help from experienced people on the forums, did a greater reincarnation and turned her into a caster with melee fallback, after I unlocked the 32 p build at lvl 11. I love having a lot of favor and that is the reason I’m never going to TR this toon.

So, my plans for this toon are:

1. Collect favor from everything I can, quests before challenges, but since I’d like to try and unlock the arti, I’m gonna have to do challenges at some point as well. Currently quests/ raids lvl 1-20, Thazara is missing heroic elite favor from Titan preraid, U15 quests, Abbot, VoD, HoX, a few IQ quests, Eveningstar quests, Dreaming Dark, MA and LoD. She just also got flagged for ToD yesterday. Thazara is currently sitting on 3833 favor and is holding lvl 22.

2. Level up the ED’s. Since she’s never TR’ing, I might level up all the ED’s at some point. She is/ has currently Unyielding sentinel 5, Exalted Angel 1 and Grandmaster of Flowers 0. Currently leveling up EA, but using US when running elite shroud.

3. Gear up for end game. She has con-op gs goggles, I’m making her a gs hp cloak with heavy fort and a gs Min II scimitar. She will be hitting 25 at some point, but I’m sticking on lvl 21 until I’ve collected some more favor, so she can’t use the M:L 22-25 gear yet. I haven’t quite decided what armor I want to use, but I do prefer robes to other armor. I’d like to get a spidersilk robe for her instead of the Eveningstar cleric armor. I should also try to get a torc, but I’m not keen on the grind.

4. Collect epic tokens and xp for ED’s. I’m having problems splitting my time between running heroic quests for favor and running epics for xp and tokens. I have found a liking for running epic raids, though, specifically eVON and eADQ. Phiarlan carnival’s another chain I like running.

I really like running this toon, I know her well and I do a mix of melee, casting and healing. I save mana a lot. I was running Invasion elite yesterday and in the party we had an fvs and a wizard at 3000+ sp, with Thazara at 2000. The fvs ran out of mana when Thazara was at 50%, since I only occasionally throw a spell and otherwise melee and use bursts. Although when running the EA ED I’ve been only casting, since her melee sucks in it, while her spells hit a lot harder.

Thazara needs a better melee weapon, though, and I was really bummed out when the Star of Day turned out to be required good. I might have to stick to the Crystal Cove scimitar until I make her a gs one. Oh, and I’m gonna start running ToD for +4 tomes. πŸ™‚

Alright over and out from Micki.
Tc and happy questing.

P.S. I was told during Crystal Cove by a TR cleric that Thazara will never be accepted in high level raids for being melee fallback. I believe this person didn’t know what they were talking about. πŸ™‚ Thazara is a caster, but she melees to save mana, and does so pretty well. She’s very versatile and can adjust to situations. The saving mana bit means she’s not as dependent on shrines as some and if we have a bard with sp regen spell, she might not need to use a shrine for anything but clickies.

First Saturday after vacation

I logged on on Saturday for the first time in 8 days and was immediately a bit overwhelmed. πŸ™‚ I wanted to say hi to everyone and prepare for Thazara’s Saturday elite shroud… and was planning to run something before that, but I never got to it. Oh, how I had missed u guys! Yes, to be honest I like several of my DDO friends better than I like a lot of people in my real life. Sorted Thazara’s inventory, and was then gonna do a few quick runs of Rainbow in the dark for gs twigs, but shortly after I put up the lfm someone sent me a tell that they would give me the twigs. πŸ™‚ Thank you very much! But of course I messed it up. 😦 I was going to make a cloak for Thaz and was sure I had made Green Taper before (I didn’t check, but believed I remembered correctly), that I was missing Filaments of Toil and Wondrous Oil, so I made those two only to notice I now had two filaments and no taper and not enough mats to make the taper. 😦 Well, at least the filaments aren’t bound so I can either give them to Cerge for his gs or sell them.

So, on to Thazara’s Saturday Elite Shroud. πŸ™‚ I have been mentioning it, but I prolly should add a notice to my myddo page as well. I had 2 friends join before I put up the lfm, and had a 3rd one promise to join. I put up the lfm at exactly 0:00 Finnish time or 5pm EST. My lfm was as usually 18-25 “Elite. Have hp, breakers. 2xheals, rest dps. No first timers”. I was surpriced at how slowly we were filling. My lfm rules are always, first come first served, unless I’m specifically looking for a healer or trapper. I got a few casters and a sorcerer at only 300 hp. I wasn’t paying attention, and when I got a tell asking if the sorc doesn’t have too little hp, and then a healer joins only to tell us “you’re gonna fail”, I throw the lead to my friend who’s got a lot more experience leading raids than I do. Yup, I chickened out.

Takes too long imo to fill, but we do and people try to help the sorc out to make him a bit more durable. Party is for sure semi weak, but I have faith, as I always do. πŸ™‚ I switch Thazara’s ED back to Unyielding Sentinel before the raid, and before phase 4 I change from my fav stance Vigor of Battle (+100 hp, heal amp, and on a successful hit stacking +10 hp for 1 min) to Unbreakable (+5 AC, DR 10/epic and diehard feat). The squishy sorc dies from the blades in phase 3 and 4, otherwise things are pretty good all through phase 4. I keep DoT’ing and we take out Harry in 3 rounds.

On to phase 5. Our monk parks the ellie, we kill the others and buff up. We’re ready, or so we think. Harry arrives and we fight and suddenly Harry teleports to me. I’m like wtf, how did I suddenly get aggro? πŸ˜€ lol. Thaz is sturdy as hell in her stance, and when people start dropping likes flies, I can still stay put, block and raise. For some reason we loose our third healer who ends up in the beginning, out of battle. The second healer who’s on a lvl 25 fvs (or, I think he is lvl 25, at least he has a lvl 25 fvs, lol) also drops a couple of times, and at some point Harry is down to maybe 10% and I say, now I’m just gonna continue DoT’ing (instead of raising people). But I get con damage and get helpless… and die. I get a raise from Niv, but Thaz get super squishy with death penalty, so I don’t even have time to heal up before I drop again. Everything’s messy, most of the party’s dead, but someone get’s the killing hit, runs over to the altar and we finish. πŸ™‚ Everyone can raise at the shrine that’s now available, to get loot. πŸ™‚ This has got to be the toughest Shroud I’ve run where we still finished, so kudos to everyone participating. Oh, and I did chug 3 pots compared to last time 0.

Sat Shroud

I almost forget to turn in the quest, and then I wanted to send a tell to the cleric who told me we were gonna fail, but he was offline. Forgot to add him to my friend list, so I could send him a tell later. πŸ™‚ I wanted to do the “ha-ha! we finished!”. I love proving people wrong, lol. I jump on a party doing eVON raid epic hard as their second healer and switch Thazara’s ED back to Exalted Angel before entering. I’m thinking, eHard with only 2 healers, and the other is a clonk with a lot less sp than me? Party is pretty weak (compared to the ones I’ve previously run with) and it’s a bit of a difficult ride to the end fight, but we get there. The other healer forgets to rest, so only me is at good mana, while he’s out, but he tells us he has 15 turns left, so I tell him to just keep spamming them and we’ll be fine. Takes us way too long to take out the boss in VON5 imo, but we get it done and Thaz get’s 50k XP for her ED, even with -30% repetition penalty (5x).

We enter VON6 and I go to the 3rd base as I’m told, even though, someone says at some point that the cleric didn’t go to the base she was suppose to and I’m not sure if it meant me or the other one. I was told 3rd base, and to me that’s the one that’s furthest away, i.e. wind. But anywho, we get to the dragon fight and Thaz gets close to dropping a couple of times. Man! She’s so much squishier in EA than in US. πŸ™‚ But we finish. Yay! Oh, and during VON5 a party member sends me a tell “Nice to finally run with u, I read your blog” (or something like that). πŸ™‚ Hi there, always nice to meet readers, but I do love getting stars and comments as acknowledgement that people have read it, so please, do comment. πŸ™‚ Or, send me a pm.

Saturday eVON

After VON I jump on a party doing Lords of Dust eNorm, looking for a divine to bless the altars. They’re almost done, only missing the altars and boss fight. So, I get some quick XP from that, and then decide to head over to King’s Forest. I put up an lfm “Just running around King’s Forest looking for commendations”. I somewhat quickly get a full party and a wizard who leads us around. We do 3 instances and in the third one we meet the second green dragon, my first time. I get a nice amount of XP, and enough commendations to get Star of Day for Thaz. Thaz got her ED to 1, that is, she is/ has now GMoF0, EA1 and US5. Also less than 300 slays for 1,500 in King’s Forest. I stayed with the group until the wiz had to leave (at around 6.30 Finnish time), then went to get my Star of Day, finally! But to my disappointment it’s required trait good, UMD 26. 😦 Thazara is true natural (I bought a change from Lawful good at lvl 18) and has no UMD. I’m really disappointed that I wasted 15 commendations on an item I cannot use. I added req good and umd 26 to wiki, but then I started thinking that maybe not all of them are that, if the enhancements are random? Maybe it was just bad luck that I got the good one? I’m not planning on farming for commendations in a while anyway, nothing I currently want.

Protect the fox rare:

Protect the fox

The second green dragon (Urklauth):

I don’t usually like putting pics of slain creatures here, but he did not disappear right away, so I took a pic. He was gone a second later.

Slain dragon

So, yup, my Saturday turned into a 8.5 h gaming session, lol. πŸ™‚ And I didn’t even get any favor, but Thaz did gain a bunch of epic token fragments and is getting closer to 20 tokens. I wasn’t farming for tokens before U14, so this is the most I have ever had. I was going to save up for 2 hearts of wood and one epic crystal for Thaz, but it seems as though I will buy the hearts and just use the tokens for a crystal for Thaz.

Alright, that’s all from me for now. Ty for reading and happy questing.

P.S. tl;dr – I’ve got nothing. Just look at the pictures, lol. πŸ˜€

I’m back!

Hi everyone! I’ve been away on vacation and only arrived back at my computer a few h ago πŸ™‚ I’ve missed everything! Can you imagine, as soon as I arrived in Portugal, I couldn’t wait to get back home πŸ˜€

Got some stuff to do tomorrow, but I’m planning on doing Thazara’s Saturday elite Shroud at ca 5pm EST. I’d like to test out Cerge in Shroud as well, but I might leave it for next week and spend this weekend running Thazara as usually.

Any interesting blogs I’ve missed while away? Post them in the comment section, pls πŸ™‚

Sunny wishes from Portugal

Gear; Cerge

This is just a very short post from me. I’ll be on vacation for 8 days from tomorrow, so will not be logging on in a while. Anywho, I logged with Cerge to change his docent to the Quorforged Docent and his boots to Cannith boots. He’s got the Flameward for charisma, an archmagi tiara and the cunning trinket. In the cloak spot he’s currently got the phiarlan mirror cloak, he’s got a +5 dex ring and a +6 con necklace.

But, I realized he’s currently got +6 str on both bracers and gloves and he’s got a +20 ring that doesn’t stack with the hp on the docent. He just got flagged for shroud, but I haven’t run it yet, and my plan is to TR him into a trapmonkey wizard (18 wiz/2 rogue) at 20. I will run a few shrouds before then, but probably not enough to make a gs. For his next life he has the Master Transmuter’s Staff.

Any suggestions for gear he could use now 18-20 and stuff I should get before TR?

Ty. Over and out.

Aah! Gear!

😦 I thought I had it all figured out. I just got my unsuppressed Vibrant purple ioun stone and here’s what I had planned:
Greater cunning trinket –> Unsuppressed Vibrant Purple Ioun stone
Archmagi pirate hat –> Minos Legends
Alchemist’s Pendant –> Symbol of the Shining Sun
Heavy Fort Belt –> Belt of the Sun Soul

But but but… What I didn’t realize was that 1. the cunning trinket gives me +50 stacking sp. 2. Alchemists Pendant gives me +20 stacking hp. So, Doing my planned swap, I end up with the same hp as before and -50 sp 😦

Gear before swap:
Armor: Blue Dragonscale Robe
Head: archmagi hat, concentration+15
Neck: Alchemist’s Pendant
Trinket: Greater Cunning Trinket
Cloak: Magewright’s Cloak
Belt: Belt of the sun soul –> Heavy fort after buff
Gloves: Purple Dragon Gauntlets
Boots: Boots of propulsion
Bracers: Bracelet of Madness
Goggles: Concordant opposition gs goggles
Ring1: Greater false life
Ring2: Epic Ring of the Buccaneer tier 2
Shield: Epic Swashbuckler (Light) tier 2
Main hand: Epic Ornamented Dagger tier3 / Epic Brigand’s Cutlass (Scimitar) tier 2

Before I can swap out Alchemist’s Pendant, I need to make a tier 3 hp gs cloak, and before I can swap out my current cloak and use Signet of the Shining Sun, I need to upgrade my Ring of the Buccaneer to tier 3 and add greater false life to it.

Darn, that I didn’t realize that I was running around with +250 sp, and not just 200. And now I have a bound ioun stone that I might not even use. 😦 I did know there was sp on the cunning trinket, but I didn’t think it would drop my sp under 2000.

Thaz is lvl 21, currently EA 0, buffed with current gear 440 hp and something like 2050 sp (with the sun soul belt). If I swap back to US she’ll still have around 2000 sp but 640 hp. Call me shallow and elitist, but I want the +2000 sp and I want as much hp as I can get. Remember, Thaz is an elf with starting con 12, so she’s already an underdog there.

Maybe I’ll just have to put heavy fort on the gs cloak, keep using my archmagi hat and skip minos.

Over and out from Orien.
